Interactive Colorado river flow at 3 stations in typical Grand Canyon river trip.

The amplitude (difference between highest and lowest) of the flow pulse that comes from water release at the Glen Canyon dam gets smaller as it goes down river. At Lees Ferry there may be a 5,000 cfs swing between high and low flow, while at diamond creek its down to a 3,000 cfs swing. (example from USGS provisional data Apr-15 2015)
