RRFW Riverwire - The book you wish you got for Christmas!
December 26, 2015
River Runners For Wilderness is pleased to announce the addition of Flipped Out for Grand Canyon One-of-a-Kind Grand Canyon Photographs to the RRFW store.
Compiled and written by Tom Myers and Bronze Black, Flipped Out is a 10 x 9” softcover paperback with 224 pages full of amazing color pictures. In addition to the boats flipped out in all the major rapids, there are simply beautiful shots of a mountain lion, burros, snakes, lizards and other wildlife.
There are historic and iconic shots of Georgie’s thrillcraft, the old hole in Crystal, the Death Star and other crazy craft. Some are in the form of a series of shots as a boat flips, or doesn’t. There are several fascinating spreads of the same location under different weather conditions or water levels. The photographs date from pre-dam times to very modern ones, but all are clear, crisp, and beautifully printed.
The publishers Puma Press are giving their proceeds to the non-profit Grand Canyon Youth, and if you purchase this book through the RRFW Store, you will benefit River Runners for Wilderness too.
